These policies are NON-NEGOTIABLE and apply to all jobs.

Artwork and design

Lodgement of your project
 
A non-refundable deposit will be requested upon commencement of work. No work will commence without deposit.
 
Changes requested over and above the number of pre-approved changes will be at cost to the client at the stated hourly rate. Examples of such changes would be, but not limited to, the following: Changes due to customer idiosyncrasy, change of customer paradigm, new material from customer etc.
 

Ownership Rights
 
All original artwork by Bald Dog Design will remain the property of Bald Dog Design. The final artwork may be purchased for external use or to be used by another designer for an additional fee of $250 over and above all standing fees and costs. Bald Dog Design reserve the right for ongoing use of all original artwork post project termination.
 

Approval of Final Artwork
 
The client is responsible for approval of all final artwork, spelling, punctuation and grammatical content. The client will proofread and approve all final type, check images, product size and colour before the production of artwork.
Final proof will include artwork, size, postage address and quantity. Email verification from the client or the client’s representative shall be conclusive as to the approval of all artwork, drawings and other items prior to their release for production.
Bald Dog Design does not offer proofreading, editing or copy writing.
No refunds or reprints are given after a final approved design has gone to print.
 
Bald Dog Design cannot be responsible for damage to the products arising after delivery to the customer.

Rights
 
Other than for the promotional use by Bald Dog Design, all works provided shall be for the exclusive use of the Clients initially intended purposes only. Designs may not be used for other promotional items, website or printed materials without permission. Upon payment of all fees & expenses, reproduction rights for all approved final designs created by Bald Dog Design for this project shall be outlined in the original estimate.
 

Rush Fees
 
Bald Dog provides a prompt, efficient service, therefore in fairness to all clients any job requested as an urgency to be produced ahead of existing or regularly scheduled jobs will have an automatic rush fee of $250. Generally we do not accept rush jobs.
 

Promotional Rights
 
Bald Dog Design reserves the right to use all drawings, artwork, specifications and other visual materials for use in printed or online portfolios for any purpose we see fit in perpetuity.
 

Reproduction
 
All preliminary concepts and visual presentations produced remain the property of Bald Dog Design and may not be used by the client without the written permission of the designer. Final artwork and concepts may not be given to other artists to alter, reproduce or post online in any way without express permission of Bald Dog Design.
 

Credit
 
Bald Dog Design reserves the right to include a credit line with a live link to Bald Dog Design website on any website developed. The credit line will appear at the very bottom of each page or in any publication of the design by the Client.
 

Liability of Designer
 
Bald Dog Design takes all care to safeguard original or other materials provided by the client. However, Bald Dog Design shall not be liable for any damage to, or loss of any material provided by the client.
On occasions Bald Dog Design may recommend that the client utilize the services of 3rd party companies we accept no liability for payment, services, product or materials of same.

 

Term, Fees and charges

Payment of Fees

A 50% deposit is payable on all logos. The balance is payable upon completion. Payment in full is due before provisional of any and all final works.

Maintenance

After completion of a website project, ongoing maintenance is billed at an hourly rate of $65 and billed at the first of each month.

Termination

Either party may terminate this Agreement upon giving written notice to the other party. Termination of contract does NOT absolve the client of costs incurred or accrued to date. Upon termination the designer may retain any initial payment and the client shall pay to Bald Dog Design all outstanding amounts due and for all work and time completed to termination date.

Refunds

Once a project has been designed in full according to the agreed upon project, no refunds are given after design has been approved. If more than the agreed upon number of layouts is provided along with revisions no deposit is refunded.

Timelines

All care is given when providing a timeline for the project. After the deposit is paid and brief supplied, Bald Dog Design will provide you will an estimated turnaround time. This turnaround time is from the date that all content is supplied by the client. Turn around time is often heavily dependant upon full and detailed provision of information from the client at initial brief coupled with the ongoing adjustments and changes requested. Accuracy of initial information as well as prompt provision of content is vital to ensure the most efficient service possible.
